How To Make Yorkshire Puddings

How To Make Yorkshire Puddings

This Yorkshire pudding recipe has been in our family for hundreds of years and there are no records of it ever failing. This recipe is enough for 12 individual Yorkshire puddings or 1 very large one. So let us start with the ingredients.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups of plain flour.
  • 2 cups of eggs.
  • 2 cups of cold milk.
  • vegetable oil for the tins.

How To Make Yorkshire Pudding
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Put all ingredients except oil into a big mixing bowl.
  3. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Put a table spoon of oil into each tin mould (if making small Yorkshire puddings) If making 1 large one add enough oil to cover the bottom of the tin.
  5. Place the tin into your hot oven and leave for 15 minutes minimum to get it really hot.
  6. Transfer the Yorkshire pudding mix into a jug, place in the fridge until the tins are ready.
  7. Take the tins out of the oven and the mix out of the fridge and fill the tins with the mix.
  8. Place the tins in the oven and shut the oven door firmly. Cook for 20 minutes until they are golden brown in color.
  9. Do not be tempted to open the oven door before 20  minutes has elapsed or your Yorkshire Puddings will collapse.
  10. After cooking Yorkshire puddings, take them out of the tins and place on a cooling rack upside down(this means there will be no oil left in the center of your Yorkshire puddings)
This will give you the most perfectly crunchy and smooth Yorkshire pudding ever. I hope you have enjoyed the recipe as much as you are going to enjoy your Yorkshire puddings.
